Medical Design Innovations also know as (M.D.I) has been involved in the supply and construction of hundreds of projects in Australia and New Zealand, some claimed to be the largest in the Southern Hemisphere: Princess Alexandra Hospital Queensland, Austin / Mercy in Victoria, Middlemore and Christchurch Women’s in New Zealand. These are just a few of the projects we are manufacturing for and installing at the moment. The company was initiated by Sergio Esteves in 1989 as a design engineer for the medical department of E.M.P.I. and later registered as Medical Design Innovations PTY LTD.
Dion Flynn and Michael Robinson are also part of our innovative team of engineers and have been designing medical equipment since 1991.
They are an invaluable part of our company.

Our Innovative concepts are usually tested by means of demonstration units and the client, refined to suit specific uses prior to the supply and installation of the project.
We also provide service units, service panels, control panels and bed head ducting to most Medical Gas installation Companies in Australia and New Zealand, worked with the most reputable Builders. We are proud to state that we have always accomplished an outstanding relationship with builders, consultants and clients by meeting all installation requirements and schedules.

Notably Sergio has been involved in some of the largest projects in the southern hemisphere. |
Dion Flynn – Product Manager

Based in Brisbane, Dion is recognized by most builders as a very approachable expert on pendants installation and commissioning with over 15 years experience. Highly Qualified in this field Dion has significant experience working in most pendants types , hospitals and able to structure a suitable and trouble free installation. He was the project Manager for the Pendants and lights installed at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. |

Michael has been designing /manufacturing and servicing medical equipment since he first joined the work force and started MDI with Sergio (20 years Ago). He is the MDI senior maintenance Manager for the P.A Hospital in behalf of BOC Limited. |

With over 5 year’s medical industry experience across most Australia & New Zealand hospitals he has worked with many consultant groups for Medical gas systems and Electrical requirements under AS/NZ and is familiar with most major designs in Australia and patient treatment area needs. Craig is able to provide and review drawings in most instances in less than 24 hours, these process is crucial under tight construction schedules. |

With over 10 years experience in welded steel structures and Fabrication in stainless steel Aluminum alloys and operation of CNC and laser cutters Daniel is able to turn any concept into a real working model for your perusal, this facility allows us to provide new designs or simply re-design an existing product /facility. Steel structures are also a key component for ceiling mounted equipment like Microscopes, pendants lights, etc. |
